Would recommend for a city trip

Charming room, attentive staff, my stay was enhanced by the delicious homemade granola served at breakfast and the convenient location which allowed easy walking access to local attractions.

Our group had an amazing stay! We explored the Suwanee Canal on a boat ride and enjoyed a sunset kayak tour. The staff was super friendly and provided excellent homemade breakfast options, especially the granola. It's a great location to walk around and really cozy.

Having to leave was the only downside of the trip. We could've stayed longer!

Just a reliable pick for a city break in Saint Marys with excellent value for money. The breakfast was amazing with a special entree every day. Make sure to explore the nearby riverfront dining options.

After backpacking on Cumberland Island, we stayed in a cozy twin room and loved relaxing on the front porch while enjoying the homemade granola at breakfast. The hotel had a beautiful garden area and a lovely leisure room to chill out in. The shower in our room was a bit tight, but it didn’t take away from our fantastic experience. we’d definitely come back! 😊

I had a lovely stay at Spencer House Inn. The staff treated me like family, especially Mary, who always checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast impressed me with its variety and deliciousness. I couldn't get enough of the fresh baked croissants. The location is perfect, within walking distance to local shops and the docks for Cumberland Island. My room was charming and cozy, filled with vintage decor. It's a bit older, so I noticed some squeaky floorboards, but that added character. A couple of minor issues popped up, like the Wi-Fi being spotty at times and a shower that felt a bit snug. Still, I managed to make the most of my time relaxing on the porch and exploring nearby eateries, which were delightful. It would have been nice to have accessible seating in common areas, though, as it got a bit crowded at times. Overall, a well-rounded experience in a beautiful setting!

Seating in common areas could be more accessible.

I stayed for one night after backpacking on Cumberland Island and found the twin bed room to be beautiful. The staff was wonderful, and we enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. Breakfast was quaint with delicious homemade granola, and it was great to be within walking distance of everything in town. I'll definitely be back for another stay!

Cozy stay with awesome breakfast!

I stayed for a night and totally loved the cozy feel. Mary was super sweet, making breakfast at 7 am just for me! The room was clean and comfy, and I really appreciated the plush towels. Only thing that was a bit off was the shower pressure not being too strong. Otherwise, great vibes all around!

The warm glow of light from the many sunny windows added such charm to the inn, making it feel both inviting and cozy. I particularly loved the vintage decor, which had so much character and history.

More accessible seating in common areas.

The local eats were an adventure! Riverside Cafe served some mouthwatering dishes, and Lang's Marina delivered seafood that could make a grown person weep! Plus, a lovely breakfast with a nice selection kept us energized for explorations. The elevator was a pleasant surprise too!

However, the shower in Room 302 was a tad snug, so just a heads up for future guests. We didn’t mind it much, but if you're after more room to stretch, check other options!

The stay was excellent, highlighted by friendly and attentive hosts. My room (#302) was immaculate and well-equipped, featuring a comfortable bed, great WiFi, and quality bathroom amenities. The breakfasts were standout, with delicious hot entrees and fresh fruit. Additionally, the historical charm of the inn, combined with its close proximity to local attractions, made for a very convenient and enjoyable visit.

The breakfast was to die for—home cooked, fresh and different every day—peach bread pudding one morning, then a savory egg & sausage scramble the next. We also loved lounging on the veranda, sipping tea while enjoying the historic charm of the place. It felt like home.

Wasn't exactly cheap, but you know what—worth every penny.
